Moscow Exchange withdraws from Russia's cryptocurrency trading pilot
ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoin.com News, Nikolai Trunichkin, head of digital projects at Russia's largest securities market, the Moscow Exchange (MOEX), recently confirmed that MOEX will not participate in Russia's cryptocurrency trading pilot program.
This decision comes as the State Duma of Russia passed a bill in July allowing digital currency trading on exchanges under the supervision of the central bank. In contrast to MOEX's stance, the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange (SPB Exchange) stated that it will actively participate in the pilot project.
