Polymarket community users expect that it may launch a token next year, but the official has not yet confirmed it
ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, some users in the Polymarket community expect the platform to launch a token next year, and a significant number of traders are already trying to speculate on a potential airdrop. At this stage, since the platform does not charge trading fees or subscription fees, Polymarket may be considering a token to drive its next phase of potential growth and expansion following a round of financing earlier this year.
Anonymous trader Tyrael stated that Polymarket is likely to have a TGE event so that investors can gain some capital returns. According to Polymarket giant Fhantom Bets, the website has seen an increase in trading volume after receiving new capital injection in its Series B funding, which further fueled airdrop rumors.
Although rumors about the Polymarket token release have not been officially confirmed or a release date announced, Fhantom Bets speculates that the token release is likely to occur after the U.S. elections.
