Argentine media reports that the company invested $100 million to diversify its investments in the agriculture and food sectors. Adecoagro is valued at over $1 billion and has direct operations in Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay.

According to reports, the company is a major milk producer in Argentina and manages over 193,000 hectares of sugarcane crops in Brazil, producing refined sugar and ethanol.
