ChainCatcher news, former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpeles stated in an interview during the Korea Blockchain Week that the current industry has excessive centralized risks and too many scam projects. "There are too many such projects, and I want to use the word 'bad' in a very broad sense because they are either scam projects or projects that do not bring any particularly outstanding new content." In addition, Karpeles also took the opportunity to promote Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) wallet technology, stating that if HD technology had existed during the Mt. Gox era, the tragedy would not have occurred. It is reported that HD is a type of wallet that can securely manage and generate multiple public and private key pairs, generated from a master seed.
