ChainCatcher news, asset management company WisdomTree has requested to withdraw its S-1 registration filing for the Ethereum Trust submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), while requesting that the fees be credited as "available for future use." "The registration statement was initially submitted on May 27, 2021. The company stated in a filing submitted to the SEC on September 6, 'The company confirms that it has not and will not issue or sell any securities under this registration statement.' WisdomTree acknowledges that it will not receive a refund for the fees paid to the SEC due to the submission of the registration statement but requests that this amount be credited as 'available for future use.'"
