ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, U.S. federal prosecutors have rebutted the charges against FTX executive Ryan Salame, stating that they did not violate the terms of the plea agreement made with the former FTX executive—namely, that they would cease the criminal investigation against Salame's long-time partner and mother of his child, Michelle Bond. Prosecutors indicated that they never made any such commitments to Ryan Salame, either formally or informally, and that their prosecution of Michelle Bond is fair.

In a harsh 32-page memorandum submitted on Thursday, prosecutors urged U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan of the Southern District of New York to dismiss Salame's recent request to enforce the conditions of his plea agreement or to vacate his plea and sentence, calling it a "shameless and selfish attempt to undermine his plea and conviction… and to obstruct the legitimate prosecution of Michelle Bond."

It is reported that the related hearing is scheduled for September 12, 2024.
