Grass airdrop query, can I break even on my electricity bill?
Author: Asher, Odaily Planet Daily
Early this morning, Grass (commonly known as "Little Grass" in the community) announced on the X platform that the token airdrop query is now live (click here to jump to the airdrop query link). The query page only reflects the distribution for the test Alpha season and seasons 1-7, excluding the ongoing reward season and undisclosed distributions. The total supply of GRASS tokens is 1 billion, of which 10% is allocated for the first airdrop, with the detailed airdrop distribution as follows:
- Test Alpha season: 1.5%;
- Seasons 1-7: 7%;
- Reward season (currently): 0.5%;
- To be announced: 1%.
"Little Grass" is considered a project with high enthusiasm for airdrops during this period, so when the token query news was released, various "airdrop farming" communities became lively, and users participating in the interaction rushed to check the number of tokens they received. However, various grievances soon spread across social media:
- "5.8 GRASS, I can't be seeing this wrong, it's definitely a reverse airdrop. Is there anyone who got less than me?"
- "I created a bunch of accounts, how come a hundred million points only got me a few tokens? How is this calculated?"
- "I started promoting from the first season, invited a total of 101 friends to participate, my computer has been running for almost a year, frequently using a VPN, with only one account, a total of over 7 million points, and I only got 63 GRASS tokens. The electricity bill isn't even covered, this is ridiculous."
- "Little Grass successfully reversed the airdrop, I am a network beggar, I am a clown."

It can be said that currently on social media, whether it's individuals with single accounts or studios with multiple accounts, almost everyone is complaining about the small number of tokens from the Little Grass airdrop, filled with grievances. Below, Odaily Planet Daily will provide a brief overview of the Grass project, off-market price situation, and other information.
Grass Project Introduction
Image source: Official Twitter
Grass is the first project deployed on Solana that combines AI, Depin, and Solana technology, positioned as the data layer for AI. As a decentralized network, Grass aims to provide the data required for AI model training by accessing public networks. This makes Grass an important component of the AI data layer as it expands to clean and prepare structured datasets, establishing its foundational position in the AI field.
According to ROOTDATA data, Grass has completed a second round of financing, with a total amount of 4.5 million USD, as follows:
- In July 2023, Grass announced the completion of a 1 million USD Pre-Seed round, with investments from No Limit Holdings, Big Brain Holdings, Builder Capital, Cogitent Ventures, Kyle Samani, Neel Somani, Rahim No orani, and others;
- In December 2023, Grass announced the completion of a 3.5 million USD seed round, led by Polychain Capital and Tribe Capital, with participation from Bitscale, Big Brain, Advisors Anonymous, Typhon V, and Mozaik.
Off-Market Price
Currently, Grass tokens are not listed on well-known off-market trading platforms AEVO and Whales Market. Whales Market previously launched an off-market trading market for Grass points, and with the release of the token airdrop news, its off-market price has significantly dropped, currently reported at 0.00015 USD per point, with a nearly 40% decline in 24 hours.

Currently, the community has spontaneously organized OTC situations, with buy orders around 0.2-0.25 USD, but according to community feedback, sellers seem unwilling to trade at such low prices, with some sellers wanting to sell at around 0.5 USD.

Therefore, if sold at 0.5 USD each, most users' queried airdrop amounts are concentrated between 10-100 tokens, approximately receiving 5-50 USD in airdrop rewards, definitely a "pig's foot rice" situation.
It is worth mentioning that the NFT project GigaBuds, which was launched invisibly by Grass, did not decline after the token airdrop query news was released, but instead saw a slight increase, currently reported at 2.472 SOL, with a 24-hour increase of 12.18%. Among the 10% of tokens for the airdrop, 1% is currently marked as "to be announced" by the official, so the price of GigaBuds rising instead of falling may be due to expectations for this 1% benefiting NFT holders.
