Data: DeFi protocol fee revenue decreased by 24% in August

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the fee revenue earned by DeFi protocols in August decreased by 24.4% compared to July, reaching the lowest point since February of this year.

The fee revenue in August was significantly lower than July's $381.45 million, and even far below March's $494.14 million. However, last month's protocol fees were still higher than February's $265.18 million.

Fee amounts are typically used to measure the popularity and usage of DeFi protocols. In that month, the cumulative fees for DeFi protocols (excluding the base layer) amounted to $288.38 million. Lido had the highest fee revenue at $76.18 million, followed by Uniswap, Jito, and PancakeSwap.
