Firo determines the new block reward distribution plan, with masternodes accounting for 70%
ChainCatcher news, the privacy cryptocurrency project Firo has determined a new token issuance and block reward distribution plan through a community governance process. The new plan includes three main points:
- A fixed issuance of 6.25 FIRO per block until the total supply reaches 21.4 million;
- After that, a tail emission of 1 FIRO per block will be implemented;
- The block reward distribution ratio is 70% for masternodes, 5% for miners, 15% for the development team, and 10% for the community.
The Firo core team stated that no further changes to the token economics will be proposed before the tail emission to ensure stability. These changes will take effect at block height 958655, and the team will soon release an urgent update.
