The first hearing on September 10 will focus on DeFi, followed by a hearing on SEC enforcement and "pig butchering" scams on September 18. The full committee hearing on September 23 will involve testimony from the SEC, with an expected focus on the regulation of digital assets. Committee Chairman Patrick McHenry, who is set to retire, has expressed a desire to complete cryptocurrency legislation by the end of the year.
