Zypher Network has developed zk games that can be verified on the TON chain based on the existing zk modules of the TON chain and Zypher's self-developed zk components.

Zypher Network co-founder Neo Sun posted on social media that Zypher is the first project supported by TON (The Open Network) to conduct zk verification, having already achieved zk game development on the TON chain. Zypher Network has developed zk games that can be verified on the TON chain based on the existing zk modules of the TON chain and Zypher's self-developed zk components. This innovative initiative will effectively help existing Base TG's TON games transition to a more centralized approach, ensuring fairness and justice in game outcomes as well as the authenticity and security of player assets without affecting the gaming experience. With this progress, Zypher has collaborated with third-party studios to develop a series of games and demos, serving as the first batch of ZK application instances on TON, providing verifiable, composable, serverless casual games. The 900 million Telegram users can simply tap the screen to experience zk games and mine while playing in the zkproof mining network provided by Zypher.

What is special about TON?

Compared to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), TON's Virtual Machine (TVM) supports BLS12-381 precompiles, which is an efficient elliptic curve pairing in zk-SNARK operations. This allows SNARK-based games to perform proof verification quickly and at low cost directly on TON. Therefore, the proofs generated by our mining network can be verified on TON at a speed and cost comparable to regular transactions.

What does this mean for game developers?

This marks the arrival of a new era for games and game developers:

  1. Chain Independence: Migrating from EVM to TVM (as demonstrated by our z2048 game demo) takes only a week, without the need to migrate centralized data.
  2. Provable Fairness: Without centralized servers, all data generated during the game process is submitted to our mining network for proof generation, ensuring data integrity.
  3. Abstracted Developer Experience: Developers can deploy applications on TON without needing to master the underlying FunC language.
  4. Excellent User Experience: Native TON verification contracts achieve seamless integration, providing a smooth gaming experience (no MetaMask pop-ups).

ZK Game SDK

Zypher's ZK-driven game SDK now supports additional ZK components, including:

  • Supported curves: BN254, BLS12_381
  • Supported virtual machines: EVM (Solidity), TVM (FunC)
  • Supported ZK protocols: PLONK, Groth16/circom
