ChainCatcher message, according to Chainwire, the Solana ecosystem DePIN protocol io.net has announced the launch of a staking program aimed at enhancing the security and performance of the GPU Internet (IOG), while providing community members with the opportunity to earn rewards through contributions. By staking devices in the IO network, users can convert computing power into a source of income and receive block rewards based on device performance. The program accommodates a variety of devices, from high-end GPUs to more moderate setups.

The program also offers users who wish to unstake tokens a 14-day unbonding period during which devices will not receive block rewards. After the program launches, there will be a 14-day grace period before the minimum staking requirements take effect. These requirements will appear shortly after the launch on users' block reward nomination lists, with the specific block ID for enforcement to be announced separately.
