ChainCatcher message, Coinbase announced this morning that it will support the new token POL from the Polygon ecosystem. Starting from August 26, Coinbase will migrate the token code from MATIC to POL on the Polygon network.

From August 26 to September 10, the sending and receiving functions of MATIC on the Polygon network will be suspended. On September 4, Coinbase will support POL on the Ethereum network. Users currently staking MATIC through Coinbase can continue to stake and earn rewards. Coinbase plans to complete the full migration from MATIC to POL in the coming months, with a detailed timeline to be announced later. After the launch of POL ERC-20, Coinbase will continue to support trading of MATIC and POL on Ethereum until further notice.
