Q2 Bitcoin Spot ETF Institutional Holder Statistics: IBIT increased by 34% month-on-month, FBTC increased by 25% month-on-month
ChainCatcher news reports that, according to Trader T, the number of institutional holders of spot Bitcoin ETFs significantly increased in the second quarter of 2024. BlackRock's IBIT has 582 institutional holders, a 34% increase from the first quarter, holding 118 million shares (excluding options), which is a 47% quarter-over-quarter increase.
Fidelity's FBTC has 303 institutional holders, a 25% quarter-over-quarter increase, holding 50.4 million shares (excluding options), which is a 35% quarter-over-quarter increase. Bitwise's BITB has 139 institutional holders, a 35% quarter-over-quarter increase, holding 14.7 million shares (excluding options), which is a 50% quarter-over-quarter increase.
