ChainCatcher news, Marathon Digital CEO Fred Thiel stated that representatives from the Trump and Robert Kennedy campaigns "started engaging with the industry early on" to build a rapport, but Harris has not made a clear statement.

Harris is leading Trump in many battleground states and is ahead by 10 percentage points nationwide. Thiel acknowledged that the Democratic candidate could potentially have an advantage in the 2024 campaign. Thiel said, "At least from my perspective, the Harris team hasn't done anything to indicate they would be friendly towards Bitcoin, which just tells me that maybe we really should accelerate moving our business overseas. All the strategic planning I am doing for 2025 is focused on areas outside the United States."
