ChainCatcher news, the total number of transactions processed in the Ethereum L2 ecosystem on August 12 reached a historic high of 12.42 million.

This growth is mainly attributed to the memecoin craze based on the Coinbase L2 blockchain, where the trading volume surged to a peak of over 4 million at the end of July.

The number of stablecoins currently on L2 is greater than the combined total of Solana and BSC. The report indicates that the number of stablecoins on L2 is 150% more than that on Solana and 94% more than that on BSC. Meanwhile, according to Etherscan data, the daily transaction volume on the Ethereum mainnet has remained relatively stable, hovering around 1.1 million for most of this year.
