ChainCatcher news, Dunamu will shut down the metaverse platform Second Block on September 9. The platform was originally designed to address the non-face-to-face service market during the pandemic, but with the end of the pandemic, the project failed to achieve success.

Second Block was launched in November 2021, and the same year, a press conference by Dunamu's CEO was also held on the platform. Subsequently, Upbit hosted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) event for the virtual asset project Mask Network on Second Block, among other activities. Despite significant internal resources invested in Second Block, it has not achieved notable results and will be closed three years after its launch.

A relevant person from Dunamu explained, "After the end of the pandemic, as people return to a primarily face-to-face daily life, the demand for non-face-to-face services has naturally decreased. In order to reflect the changes in customer demand and respond flexibly to this change, we have decided to close Second Block."
