Data: ETH burn rate hits a yearly low, with daily burn amount dropping to 210 coins at one point
ChainCatcher message, the daily destruction of ETH on the Ethereum network has fallen to a year-to-date low. As of the time of writing, the network's base fee is hovering between 1 and 2 gwei, reaching a new low in several years, which in turn affects the issuance of ETH.
Due to the low gas fees, only 210 ETH were destroyed last Saturday. In contrast, on August 5, when gas fees reached about 100 gwei, the daily destruction surged to 5000 ETH.
