Canto was interrupted due to the "consensus issue" and will restart the network
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the block explorer shows that the Cosmos-based Layer1 blockchain Canto experienced an interruption after the "Callisto" upgrade on Saturday at UTC time, causing the mainnet to go down at approximately 18:43 UTC (02:43 Beijing time on August 11). Since the interruption, the blockchain has been unable to process new transactions.
On Sunday afternoon, Canto's X account acknowledged the interruption and attributed the downtime to a "consensus issue." Canto stated that an upgrade aimed at resolving the issue would take place at 12:00 UTC on August 12 (20:00 Beijing time on August 12), and assured users of the safety of their funds.
