Binance: As of the end of July, the security team has recovered over 73 million USD in funds stolen by external organizations this year

ChainCatcher news, according to an article released by Binance's official blog, as of July 31 this year, the Binance security team has recovered or controlled over $73 million of user funds from external hacker attacks, a figure that has already surpassed the total for the entire year of 2023 (approximately $55 million).

Among the recovered assets, about 80% are related to hacker attacks, vulnerabilities, and thefts that occurred outside the Binance platform, while the remaining 20% are related to scams that occurred outside the Binance platform. Binance's Chief Security Officer Jimmy Su emphasized that the company is committed to protecting users and enhancing the overall security of the crypto system, effectively tracking and recovering stolen funds using blockchain technology.
