What will be the highest price of SOL in the bull market of 2024-2025?

Collection

In this article, we will make a simple rough estimate from the perspective of market capitalization.

First, we need to review historical data through BTC.D (BTC Dominance):

In the bull market of December 2017, the lowest BTC.D ratio was 42%.

In the bull market of November 2021, the lowest BTC.D ratio was 42%.

As of now, the BTC.D indicator is at 57%. As shown in the figure below.

Next, let's review the historical market cap data:

The highest total market cap during the 2017 crypto market bull run was $740 billion.

The highest total market cap during the 2021 crypto market bull run was $2.8 trillion.

As of now, the total market cap of the crypto market is $2 trillion. As shown in the figure below.

Based on the above BTC.D and market cap data, we will make a basic assumption:

Assuming that in this bull market, the price of BTC can reach $100,000, and the BTC.D ratio is 40%, then this would lead to a total crypto market cap of approximately $5.25 trillion. The $100,000 and 40% are variables; if you have a different view, you can calculate according to your own expectations.

Next, from this perspective, let's see how much the price of SOL might reach in this bull market.

In the last bull market cycle (November 2021), BNB's market cap ranked third at that time (excluding USDT), accounting for about 3.9% of the total market cap. As shown in the figure below.

We continue to assume that in this bull market, SOL ranks third, and its market cap ratio might reach a range of 3.5% to 4.5%. Based on our earlier total market cap of $5.25 trillion, SOL's market cap would reach $183.7 billion to $236 billion.

Currently, the circulating supply of SOL is 466,236,234, so the corresponding SOL price would be $394 to $506.

Similarly, you can use the above calculation method to estimate the possible prices of other ranked cryptocurrencies in this bull market.

However, it is important to remind you again that the above is merely a rough estimate from a single perspective of market cap. This method may not be suitable for evaluating all altcoin projects, and you should not use this method as your sole reference for decision-making. Ultimately, your actions should depend on your personal goals and expectations.
