Luke Dashjr: The Bitcoin community is not proactive enough in updating the spam filter issue
ChainCatcher message, Bitcoin Core developer Luke Dashjr posted on X: "Seven years ago today, the Bitcoin community launched Segregated Witness (Segwit), although Bitcoin Core refused to allow anyone other than miners to make decisions.
Today, we are facing a similar situation while updating the spam filter. Sadly, the community is largely too complacent------or brainwashed------to take action.
Bitcoin is not about blindly trusting a centralized maintenance team------that’s what fiat currency is for. Decentralization requires active users who need to make decisions for themselves."
