The issuance of MemeCoin in 2024 will exceed 100 million, and currently popular three types of MemeCoin one-click issuance platforms

According to the latest industry report released by CoinGecko for Q2 2024, 15 narratives such as MemeCoin, AI, and RWA account for 77.5% of the cryptocurrency market share. Among them, MemeCoin directly dominates the list, with 4 out of the 15 most popular crypto narratives related to MemeCoin, as shown in the figure below.

Although the vast majority of MemeCoins have no actual utility and are primarily driven by emotional hype, the stories and possibilities of getting rich quickly ensure that interesting projects with good meme potential continue to emerge and rapidly gain popularity in the crypto network and various crypto communities.

However, investing in MemeCoins also requires attention to some basic rules, such as:

- Diversified investment. This means you can consider investing in several projects simultaneously, rather than getting too deep into any one project, and it's best not to invest more than 10% of your total portfolio in MemeCoins (specific allocation varies by individual).

- Avoid blind following. Do not casually follow the wallet trades of KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders). Many (not all) so-called well-known KOLs intentionally disclose their wallet addresses to encourage following trades. For example, they might deliberately enter small pools, and by the time you see it and follow in, they may have already sold at a profit. Don't underestimate this type of manipulation; if they have a large enough following and enough people follow their trades, they can perfectly use the harvested funds to continue their next round of games. Additionally, be cautious with the airdrop interaction tutorials released by some so-called KOLs online, as some people use airdrop tutorials to get you to mint their own NFTs and then harvest your ETH.

- Conduct basic checks. Previous articles on the topic of MemeCoins have outlined various tools and methods. For instance, you can verify whether the token contract has issues (such as the presence of a RUG), check liquidity issues (like those with 100% LP burn), compare the number of holders with the issuance time (trading activity, potential for wash trading, etc.), and look for the emergence of numerous copycat tokens (indicating liquidity dilution), among other things.

As for specific tools, previous articles (from July 26) have already outlined 20 major tools for navigating MemeCoins, so interested readers can refer back to those historical articles. As shown in the figure below.

1. This year, the issuance of MemeCoins is expected to exceed 100 million.

Currently, the total market capitalization of the MemeCoin sector (the combined market cap of 1,600 MemeCoin tokens listed on the CoinGecko platform) has surpassed $50 billion, far exceeding some popular narrative sectors, such as the AI sector, which currently has a total market cap of $25.7 billion, the RWA sector at $7.1 billion, and the DePin sector at $21.1 billion. As shown in the figure below.

Of course, the above statistics only account for the number of MemeCoins listed on CoinGecko (around 1,600), but in reality, there are many more MemeCoin varieties on-chain. According to DEXTools, there are currently 5,563,714 tokens (mainly MemeCoins) providing liquidity for trading. As shown in the figure below.

The aforementioned over 5.56 million tokens are only those that have provided liquidity, while the speed and quantity of token creation on-chain (anyone can create tokens on-chain, but only those that provide liquidity can be traded normally) are even greater. Taking Solana as an example, the SPL tokens (tokens created under the Solana standard) continue to be created at a rate of 15,000 to 20,000 per day. As shown in the figure below.

If this trend continues, by the end of 2024, there could be over 100 million tokens created across all blockchain networks (over 100 networks), with those providing liquidity for trading expected to exceed 10 million.

However, among the vast number of MemeCoins, only a few can maintain a certain level of popularity. Recently, relatively popular and trending MemeCoins include NEIRO, MYRO, CATDOG, MAGA, MAD, PUPS, etc. Of course, these listed are not recommendations to buy blindly; MemeCoins are highly risky assets with significant volatility. If you want to find the next opportunity similar to NEIRO, it's best to invest time in researching how these trending tokens gained popularity and try to identify potential patterns and insights.

2. How to identify promising MemeCoins in the early stages.

One important point is that they should be simple and easy to understand. This means that MemeCoins should have good meme attributes that are easily comprehensible to most people, rather than concepts understood only by a small group of enthusiasts. For example, NEIRO is a cute dog avatar + a pet newly adopted by a DOGE owner, which seems easy for everyone to understand.

Next, consider other aspects, such as:

- Good entertainment value.

A successful MemeCoin shouldn't design too many serious uses for itself. If a newly launched MemeCoin project claims to have a strong team, various partners, or investment institutions, and plans to build some ecosystem, it's best to stay away. Instead of buying such a MemeCoin, you might as well choose a few leading altcoins in popular sectors. For example, PEPE is a good example, as its entire concept seems to be just an exaggerated frog, which helps attract a broader audience and can generate more funny expressions. As shown in the figure below.

- Positive outlook.

This includes two aspects: besides being interesting, MemeCoins should also exhibit a more positive side, rather than those with insulting connotations. Only themes filled with love and goodwill have the potential to unite more people, and more people will be willing to join. Additionally, it should align with political correctness; avoid joking about political figures that cannot be made fun of, or you risk losing a large number of followers.

- Long-term values.

For example, the recently popular PolitiFi concept MemeCoins, such as TRUMP and KAMA, are actually time-sensitive; their popularity is likely to last only until the end of this year's U.S. presidential election. However, tokens like WIF advocate values such as progress, innovation, and breaking boundaries. Although this sounds cliché and vague, it indeed represents a long-term value that won't become outdated and won't disappear overnight after a hot event ends.

- Community cohesion.

Some communities create MemeCoins solely to exploit investors, leading to only short-term bursts and hype, making it difficult to sustain development opportunities. Once the distribution of profits is complete, they will choose to exit, leaving the investors to take the loss. Only those that can continuously attract more people, including influential individuals (even institutions), will have ongoing opportunities. For example, FLOKI, LADYS, and MOTHER are MemeCoins that have been notably focused on and invested in by DWF (a well-known market maker).

3. MemeCoin creation platforms for non-technical users.

Currently, there are quite a few platforms and methods for creating MemeCoins. For instance, previous articles have outlined the steps to create MemeCoins using DEX (like Dexlab) and add liquidity. However, for most ordinary people who do not understand technology, creating a MemeCoin is actually a matter of minutes. For example, we will introduce three major types of one-click MemeCoin creation platforms:
