Russian diplomat: El Salvador proposes using cryptocurrency to settle trade between the two countries

ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoin.com, Alexander Ilyukhin, the first secretary of the Russian Embassy in Nicaragua, stated that El Salvador has proposed to use cryptocurrency for settling trade with Russia.

At the same time, Ilyukhin revealed that El Salvador has expressed a desire to join the BRICS countries and may formally apply for membership within a year or two. According to the diplomat, El Salvador aims to attract foreign investment from BRICS nations.
