Ripple CEO: The inconsistent enforcement by the SEC has caused chaos in the crypto industry
ChainCatcher news, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse criticized the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on social media, calling it hypocritical.
He pointed out that despite SEC Chairman Gary Gensler claiming that the rules are clear, the SEC's inconsistent enforcement has caused confusion in the industry. Garlinghouse believes that this behavior indicates a political agenda or malicious litigation strategy, rather than a genuine commitment to the law.
Previously, Garlinghouse had sued Binance for violating securities laws and classified cryptocurrencies such as BNB, BUSD, SOL, ADA, and MATIC as securities. However, these classifications are no longer included in the amended complaint.
