Musk answered questions about his current views on Bitcoin and the issues he discussed regarding Bitcoin in a YouTube video two years ago.

When asked about his views on Bitcoin, Musk stated that he does believe "Bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies have value." The tech giant admitted that he has a preference for the original meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin because he likes "dogs and memes."

However, Musk made it clear that he does not intend to promote any cryptocurrency. He added that at most he would only do so in a "joking manner." He also mentioned that if anyone sees a video of him promoting cryptocurrency, it must be a deepfake.
