Japanese exchange BitFlyer completes acquisition of FTX Japan

ChainCatcher news, according to CoinPost, the Japanese exchange BitFlyer announced today that it has completed the acquisition of 100% of the outstanding shares of FTX Japan, making FTX Japan a wholly-owned subsidiary. The subsidiary will be renamed on August 26, and FTX Japan will develop new cryptocurrency custody services under bitFlyer Holdings.

In addition, BitFlyer also stated that it plans to offer services related to cryptocurrency spot ETFs once the Japanese legal framework is in place.
