The new on-chain donation platform on Base now allows U.S. politicians to accept cryptocurrency donations
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the new on-chain donation platform SupportCrypto on Base now allows American politicians to accept cryptocurrency donations. According to its website, supporters can choose from over 240 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, or make donations via credit card through the platform.
The platform states that crypto donations provide a faster and more secure option, and are fully compliant with U.S. regulations.
Jesse Pollak, head of the Base network, pointed out on X that while the platform is backed by a company called Engage Raise, it is supported by Coinbase Commerce for its operations.
