Taiko: The Ontake upgrade plan will launch the mainnet in Q4 and will introduce new transaction types and other features

ChainCatcher news, the Ethereum Layer 2 network Taiko based on zkRollup, has been optimizing its Rollup protocol since the launch of its autonomous network, reducing L1 Gas costs by over 30%. It is now focusing on developing new features and improving existing ones:

  1. Enhanced L2 EIP-1559;
  2. Transaction Preconfirmation;
  3. Introduction of new transaction type Sponsored Transactions;
  4. Cancun EVM support;
  5. Enable contracts to use Calldata as DA;
  6. Enhanced Min-Tier selection.
