The founder of the encryption advocacy platform PGP has been appointed as the new head of Coinbase Institute

ChainCatcher news, Paul Brigner, founder of the crypto advocacy platform Pretty Good Policy for Crypto (PGP), announced that he has joined Coinbase as the head of the Coinbase Institute. Brigner will work under the leadership of Coinbase's Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad, while still continuing to lead certain operations at PGP. Brigner has also joined the board of the Bootstrap project at Electric Coin Co, where he previously served as Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Head of Policy and Strategic Advocacy.

The Coinbase Institute was established in May 2022 as a think tank that collaborates with scholars, legislators, and other leaders to expand research on cryptocurrency.
