U.S. media: Authorities identified the suspect 30 minutes before the Trump shooting incident occurred
ChainCatcher news, according to Pennsylvania's WPXI television station, the man who attempted to kill Trump was found on the roof nearly 30 minutes before the shooting incident. It was reported that a member of the local Beaver County SWAT team (ESU team) noticed a suspicious man on the roof near the rally at 5:45 PM, prompting them to call the police and take a photo of the individual. The person in the photo is said to be Thomas Crooks, but it was unclear at the time whether Crooks was armed.
Additionally, sources indicated that a law enforcement officer checked Crooks' location at that time but did not see him at the site where the first photo was taken. Twenty-six minutes after law enforcement captured a second photo of Crooks and received intelligence, gunfire erupted from the roof of the building. Seconds later, a Secret Service sniper returned fire, killing Crooks.
