Consensys Founder: US Regulators "Neglecting Their Duties"
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, Consensys founder Joseph Lubin stated on Wednesday at the Ethereum community meeting in Brussels that U.S. regulators have "neglected their duties," allowing certain senators and banking lobbyists to "exploit" and guide the SEC's crypto policies.
Lubin also mentioned that he and other participants are forced to deal with ambiguous legislation. He stated, "For years, we have become accustomed to operating under the cloud of regulatory uncertainty." Nevertheless, Lubin expressed his belief that regulators are making "real progress," partly due to the upcoming U.S. elections, as lawmakers are now seeking new ways to win votes and raise funds for their campaigns.
