Data: Farcaster user engagement reaches an all-time high
ChainCatcher news, the user engagement of the decentralized social media protocol Farcaster has reached an all-time high, with the number of independent casters exceeding 73,700 last week, reaching a historical peak. The protocol has generated 611.03 ETH in revenue.
One possible reason for the surge in users is the announcement by founder Dan Romer that they are developing a new tool for in-app payments using USDC. This feature aims to address the long-standing issue of having to look up someone's alphanumeric wallet address and allows users to send directly via Farcaster ID.
