Omni Network: The Streams feature has been launched, offering two messaging speeds
ChainCatcher news, according to official sources, the Ethereum interoperability protocol Omni Network has announced the launch of the Streams feature to provide a faster and more flexible messaging method. With Streams, developers can now choose to send their XMsgs in two different modes: fast mode and finalization mode.
In fast mode, messages can be delivered almost instantly. Once the source rollup issues a sequencer confirmation for a given transaction, fast mode transactions are sent to the target network, suitable for low-value transactions that require immediate delivery; while finalization mode is suitable for high-value transactions that require higher security. Finalization mode ensures that messages are delivered after the rollup publishes its call data to L1 and finalizes within two Ethereum beacon chain epochs (approximately 12 minutes). This mode provides additional guarantees, making it suitable for large transactions.
