ChainCatcher news, the paper "Empirical Study on the Security of Move Smart Contracts: Enhancing Analysis with MoveScan" by the MoveBit team under the Web3 security company BitsLab has been accepted by the prestigious international conference ISSTA 2024. This research work also received strong support from Aptos Labs and Mysten Lab.

This research is the first comprehensive analysis of Move contract security, developing an efficient and precise tool called MoveScan, which discovered 97,169 defects across 37,302 contracts on the Aptos and Sui blockchains, indicating that defects are widespread.

Furthermore, experimental results show that MoveScan achieves an accuracy of 98.85%, with an average analysis time of only 5.45 milliseconds.
