In 2023, Vietnam became the third largest country in the world for cryptocurrency appreciation, following the United States and the United Kingdom, with an appreciation amount of nearly $1.18 billion, making it one of five Asian markets among the top 10 countries for cryptocurrency appreciation.
Vietnamese citizens use cryptocurrency to access banking services that were previously unavailable. Approximately 17% of the population owns or holds cryptocurrency, making Vietnam a center for cryptocurrency activity.
