Helium community proposes to create the ENERGY subnet

ChainCatcher message, the Helium community is discussing the new proposal HIP 128, which suggests the creation of the ENERGY subnet to reward users participating in the energy market through solar power generation and battery storage.

This subnet will support the integration and rewards of distributed energy resources (DERs), allowing residential users to contribute to grid stability and earn rewards. The main advantages include dual mining, increased network activity and data credit consumption, entry into the renewable energy sector, and promotion of green energy practices.
