Gemini signs a 5-year Bitcoin sponsorship agreement with Real Bedford Football Club
ChainCatcher news, according to TheBlock, cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has signed a five-year sponsorship agreement with Real Bedford Football Club, which will receive payments in Bitcoin. The club is co-owned by Peter McCormack, the host of the popular podcast What Bitcoin. Gemini stated on Monday that the deal will be prepaid in Bitcoin, aimed at supporting the club's success and providing more opportunities for local children.
Real Bedford Football Club holds a Bitcoin treasury, and the five-year deal will be paid directly into this Bitcoin treasury. Gemini will assist the club in establishing a new training center and launching a youth football academy for underprivileged children in a town in Bedfordshire, England.
