LayerZero CEO responds to code concerns: This is not a vulnerability, but a design principle of the protocol
ChainCatcher news, LayerZero CEO Bryan Pellegrino responded on social media to community members' concerns about the code, stating that these accusations are unfounded. The code cited by community members was released in 2022, and these configurations are security settings for the application, not protocol settings. Even in the latest version, the application can still override this limitation to prevent LayerZero from blocking messaging by setting the "load limit" to 0.
Pellegrino emphasized that this is not a vulnerability, but rather a design principle of the protocol aimed at ensuring the censorship resistance of the technological infrastructure.
