Slow Fog Cosine: FixedFloat was stolen twice from its host service provider Time4VPS
ChainCatcher news, Yu Xian, the founder of Slow Mist Technology, stated on social media that the root cause of FixedFloat's two thefts allegedly comes from the hosting service provider Time4VPS. Although this provider is cheap, its security is unreliable. The attacker gained full functional access to the host, including global access to all servers, rendering the previously implemented security measures completely ineffective. Yu Xian advised the cryptocurrency industry to avoid choosing similar small service providers.
Previously, FixedFloat lost $26.1 million in a hacker attack in February, and the same hacker launched another attack on March 31, resulting in a loss of $2.8 million.
