Blast launches governance system and releases proposal to "Enable Points for BLAST Holders"

ChainCatcher message, Blast has launched a governance system and released the proposal "Enable Points for BLAST Holders." This proposal will allow BLAST holders to earn points on the mainnet, which can now be viewed and discussed on the Blast Foundation forum. Blast governance will enable the community to actively contribute to the development of the Blast ecosystem, allowing BLAST holders to propose, debate, and vote on protocol upgrades, the composition supported by USDB, ETH liquid staking providers, fees, and other factors.

Blast governance is designed as a checks and balances system, providing governance rights to BLAST holders while enabling rapid progress, with decision-making at a higher level by the Token Committee and the Progress Committee. Either committee can initiate proposals, while the other committee can veto proposals. The goal of the Progress Committee is to achieve rapid development, while the Token Committee has the power to veto proposals and vote to remove members of the Progress Committee, giving BLAST holders ultimate control over the system.
