Peter Thiel: Still holds a small amount of Bitcoin, uncertain whether BTC will rise significantly again
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, former PayPal CEO and Founders Fund co-founder Peter Thiel confirmed at the Aspen Ideas Festival that he still holds Bitcoin and expressed regret for not buying more Bitcoin earlier. When asked if he had sold any Bitcoin, Peter Thiel said, "I still hold some, but I didn't buy that much." He added, "I'm not sure it will rise significantly from the current price."
It was reported that Founders Fund began investing in Bitcoin in 2014 and made $1.8 billion by selling before the market crash in 2022. Thiel himself has been a long-time supporter of Bitcoin. During the bull market in 2021, Thiel also stated that he felt his investment in Bitcoin was not enough.
