ChainCatcher news, according to an official email, FTX liquidators PwC have released an update on the liquidation process, stating that customers of FTX or FTX International (Dotcom customers) are entitled to file claims in the Bahamian proceedings or the U.S. proceedings. At this stage, if the bankruptcy protection plan is approved, Dotcom customers are expected to receive 119 to 143 cents per dollar in claims.

For customers who have submitted proof of debt claims in the Bahamian proceedings, FTX will send a letter in the future to confirm whether customers wish to continue managing, processing, adjudicating, and resolving claims in the Bahamas. Customers who have not yet submitted proof of debt claims in the Bahamian process can submit claims before the deadline, currently expected to be in mid-August 2024.

Additionally, after the court approves the bankruptcy protection debtor's reorganization plan, FTX will confirm the date and next steps in writing. The hearing date for the U.S. bankruptcy court plan is scheduled for June 25, 2024.
