Casa co-founder: LND nodes running versions prior to 0.17.0 need to be updated as soon as possible to fix critical vulnerabilities
ChainCatcher news, Bitcoin custody company Casa co-founder Jameson Lopp posted on X reminding: Any LND (Bitcoin Lightning Network) node running a version prior to 0.17.0 should be updated immediately to fix a critical vulnerability.
According to information shared by X platform user @DavidShares, LND versions prior to 0.17.0 are susceptible to malicious DoS attacks. Running an outdated version of LND puts funds at risk due to the ease of attack. The low cost and simplicity of the attack make this vulnerability very serious. This vulnerability was discovered a year ago, in June 2023.
