ChainCatcher message, Bitcoin DeFi platform ALEX Lab released a security incident update on X: As of June 17 at 11 AM, the attacker has broadcasted over 9,700 transactions, involving the generation of new wallet addresses and then dispersing the on-chain STX balance to these new wallets. The number of traceable transactions has started to grow exponentially from 300 to over 9,600, and it has been accelerating with no signs of stopping. This also means that the number of the attacker's independent addresses has increased from fewer than 100 to over 4,700 in just 7 days. A small amount of STX has been transferred to thousands of new addresses, which were then sent to CEX.

Most CEXs have fully cooperated with ALEX during the recovery process; however, the attacker realized this and quickly shifted to the sending addresses of the stolen funds on CEX. The currently traceable amount of STX deposited into CEX is 8,373,587 STX, and the attacker's current on-chain balance is approximately 5,560,332 STX (calculated based on wallet balances exceeding 100 STX).
