According to ChainCatcher news, as reported by CoinDesk, a family spokesperson stated in an email on Friday that the tax charges against Binance executives Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) of Nigeria have been dropped.

FIRS agreed to modify the charges to only target Binance, through its local representatives. Gambaryan will no longer be required to appear in court regarding the FIRS case.

However, Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla remain defendants in a money laundering case. The statement indicated that the next hearing for this case is scheduled for June 19, during which an "application for the enforcement of fundamental rights" will be considered. The trial will resume on June 20. Gambaryan remains detained at Kuje prison.
