TONX and the TON Foundation announced the successful conclusion of "The Open League Development Bootcamp," with Asia's largest TON summit coming soon
Asia's leading TON venture studio TONX, in collaboration with the TON Foundation, recently held "The Open League Summer Bootcamp" in Hong Kong and Taipei, which successfully concluded on June 2. The event attracted hundreds of developers from the Asia-Pacific region, with 12 teams from both Taipei and Hong Kong participating in the competition showcase. Special guests at the bootcamp included Anton Trunov, the Technical Director of the TON Foundation, and Alex Golev from the TON DevRel team.
This bootcamp served as a connecting course for the ++TONX Accelerator Program++, providing outstanding teams with the opportunity to enter the accelerator program. Selected teams will have the chance to receive ecosystem rewards of up to $5 million, gain exposure on the international stage, and receive market, technical, and business support from the founders and team of the TON project. The first phase of the TONX Accelerator Program closed applications on June 3, receiving over 70 proposals, with GameFi (32.5%), SocialFi (22.5%), and AI (12.5%) making up the majority.
A highlight of the bootcamp was the revelation of the latest TON roadmap by ++Dr. Awesome Doge++, a member of the core development team and co-founder of TONX. He encouraged developers to take advantage of this training opportunity to develop diverse projects that support the growth of the TON ecosystem. He also announced that TONX would partner with the TON Foundation to sponsor Asia's largest TON event, The Open Summit (TON International Summit), which will be held from August 6 to 8 at the ++Asia Blockchain Summit++ venue.
The collaboration between Telegram and TON presents vast business opportunities and unlimited potential, with Telegram providing a user base of over 900 million, while the TON blockchain offers robust infrastructure support. This synergy makes accessing Mini App games through Telegram simple and enjoyable, perfectly aligning with the preferences of Telegram users. With Telegram's large user base bringing immense opportunities and limitless potential, TON recently surged to $7.8 on June 5, setting a new historical high and nearing the position of the ninth-largest token.
The bootcamp lasted three days, aimed at cultivating developers' professional development skills in building TON Web3 within the Telegram ecosystem. The event invited members of the TON core development team, official members of the TON Foundation, and renowned experts in the blockchain field to serve as mentors, accompanying project teams throughout the ideation and enhancement of project quality. Participants had the opportunity to gain in-depth insights into the business opportunities and unlimited potential behind Telegram's global user base of 900 million, and had the chance to submit their projects to The Open League Hackathon for a chance to win up to $2 million in rewards.
In addition to technical training, the bootcamp provided rich social and networking opportunities, allowing participants to interact and exchange ideas with industry experts and other developers, expanding their understanding and collaboration opportunities.
The TONX Accelerator Program ultimately received over 70 applications, and after a rigorous selection process, Catizen became the first team selected for the accelerator program. Catizen is a blockchain GameFi project created by David Mak and Pierce Tam, the founders of Pluto Studio, which has achieved remarkable success on the TON chain, attracting over 12 million players and processing over 13 million transactions.
The TONX Accelerator Program will provide Catizen with potential investments from TON Ventures, TONX, and venture capital partners of the accelerator program, as well as market, technical, and business support to help Catizen expand globally.
The successful hosting of the TONX Accelerator Program and the successful conclusion of the bootcamp mark a new development opportunity for Asian developers within the Telegram TON ecosystem. We look forward to seeing more outstanding projects thrive in this ecosystem.
