Microsoft India X account was hijacked by encrypted scammers to post phishing website links, and it has now been restored

ChainCatcher news, according to Bitcoin.com, crypto scammers hijacked the official Microsoft India X account yesterday, impersonating Roaring Kitty to direct followers and other users to a malicious website, falsely claiming to offer a fake Gamestop (GME) cryptocurrency presale. The phishing site is designed to steal the assets of those who connect their cryptocurrency wallets and authorize transactions. Additionally, many bot accounts forwarded the hijacked posts, amplifying the impact.

The official Microsoft India X account has over 210,000 followers, and the messages posted by the scammers have since been deleted.
