ChainCatcher message, cryptocurrency scammers recently hijacked the official Microsoft India X account, which has over 211,000 followers, impersonating Roaring Kitty (Meme stock trader Keith Gill).

The Microsoft India X account is marked with a gold V, indicating it has been officially verified, which adds credibility to the fraudulent posts. The hijacked account was used to reply to tweets, directing fans and other users to a malicious website that falsely claims to offer Gamestop (GME) cryptocurrency presales. This phishing site is designed to steal the assets of anyone who connects their cryptocurrency wallet and authorizes transactions. Additionally, many bot accounts forwarded the hijacked posts, expanding the reach and attracting more victims.
