Report: The number of global cryptocurrency holders reached 562 million in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 34%
ChainCatcher news, the Singapore-based payment company Triple - A released the report "2024 Global Cryptocurrency Ownership Status," which shows that in 2024, the global digital currency user base will reach 562 million people (accounting for 6.8% of the global population), a 34% increase from 420 million in 2023. 34% of cryptocurrency holders are aged between 24-35, making it the largest age group. The UAE, Singapore, and Turkey rank among the top 30 economies with the highest cryptocurrency ownership rates. Asia continues to lead in cryptocurrency holdings, increasing from 268 million to 326.8 million, followed by North America with holdings of 72.2 million.
